Growing up some of my best memories were going to see my dad at work as a director in a CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community). It would make me so happy to see the smiles on the residents’ faces as we participated in fun activities or were just talking. I also got to sit back and watch the impact my dad made on residents and their families. He had a passion to see this generation thrive in a setting that could provide socialization and support when needed. I quickly began to share his passion and found that this shared calling could serve as my guide as I navigated my way towards a meaningful career.
After graduating from A&M Consolidated High School, I attended Sam Houston State University and was juggling thoughts of what I wanted to do as a career. I love sports, so immediately I decided I wanted to pursue a degree in kinesiology. After a summer internship with a local baseball team, I knew the sports industry was not for me. I went home feeling unfulfilled. After lots of prayer and talks with my family, I decided I needed to follow my passion: helping aging seniors and their families. I ended up back in school and did an internship at Clarewood House in Houston and immediately knew the senior living industry was where I wanted to be. Now, as a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator, I am looking forward to the opening of Four Seasons Assisted Living and Riverbend Memory Support at The Langford.
Every day I wake up and realize how blessed I am to get to love on people. I cannot wait to serve my residents at home at The Langford.
