The Langford at College Station

Mission & heritage.

all are welcome!

Our charter requires that you’re at least 62 at move-in. For couples, at least 1 of you must be 62 or older. And that’s it. We welcome pets and a big beautiful cross section of humanity, regardless of gender, race, religion, disability, or nationality.

Our Mission.

We honor and serve older adults as an expression of Christ’s love.

THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT DIFFERENCE IS EVIDENT IN ALL WE DO.

As a part of Methodist Retirement Communities, a not-for-profit, we pride ourselves in being a faith-based, mission driven community. All that we do centers on the biblical principle taught by Jesus in Matthew 7:12, to treat others as you wish to be treated. In fact, there is a set of core values that we lean on to guide our operations called ICARE values. ICARE stands for I- Integrity, C-Compassion, A- Accountability, R-Respect, and E- Excellence. We believe that with these values at our core, we are sure to attract and retain the best of the best on our team, which translates to phenomenal, quality service for our residents.

METHODIST RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES (MRC) - A HERITAGE TO LIVE UP TO.

Established in 1962, Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC) now serves over 2,500 residents in 13 senior living communities, including College Station, Bryan, Huntsville, Lufkin, Texarkana, La Porte, Corpus Christi, League City, and Fort Worth with a central office in The Woodlands. MRC is different from a for-profit in that there are NO shareholders behind the scenes making the tough calls. Instead, as a not-for-profit, accountability comes from a volunteer board of directors who are collectively and individually driven to serve because of their passion for the mission. This distinction also means that any revenue that is produced at The Langford will go right back to The Langford to improve the lives of those who live there instead of going to shareholders. The best part is, since our beginning, MRC has never asked a resident to leave because they outlived their resources through no fault of their own. That’s right, through generous donations to our Resident Covenant Fund, we commit to supplement the financial needs of those who find themselves in need later in life. With decades of experience behind us you’ll find that the MRC difference is clearly seen when you walk in our doors, it’s felt when you meet our dedicated team, and it’s experienced first-hand when you call an MRC community home.

THE LANGFORD – MAKING LIFE GOOD FOR COLLEGE STATION’S SENIORS.

At The Langford, all leftover margin is reinvested into improvements and all the extras that make life good. It’s the small things that make a big difference! High-quality, fresh ingredients for our Chef, well-maintained buildings and gardens, top-notch entertainment and programming, expert staff and more! Ultimately, it translates into rate increases being kept to a minimum. In short, we’re committed to maintaining The Langford as the best senior living community in College Station in every way.

A RESPECTFUL NOD TO TRADITION.

We take pride in our city’s rich history – it’s why we’re named after Ernest Langford, former mayor, “Father of College Station,” and the namesake of Langford Architecture Center at Texas A&M. The Langford senior living community is modeled after the city’s unique blend of quality, classic style and variety. And if quality and style sounds right to you, get in touch, and we’ll start a conversation about how you can make The Langford your choice for retirement.

Benevolence.
Love and Charity.
